Two of the biggest obstacles to your providing successful coaching are…
Lack of confidence about your skills, and your coaching style—what you are doing (or not doing) during your coaching.
As a mentor coach, I provide support for your development in both areas.
Do You…
- Want to apply for ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credentialing?
- Want to expand your ‘coaching toolkit’ and coaching ability?
- Sometimes doubt your own coaching competence, and long for some strength-based feedback?
- Wish you had an objective observer ‘in the room’ during your coaching who could help you see yourself as a coach?
- Seek to take your coaching up to a new, higher level?
- Find yourself ‘stuck’ in certain client situations, and wish you knew other ways to create breakthroughs for both you and your client(s)?
How Mentor Coaching Works – Coaching the Coach
You send me a recording of a session (with permission of the client) and after I listen to it I will arrange a Zoom mentor session with you (if you choose to phone me instead, you are responsible for phone charges) for 30 minutes of Mentor Coaching evaluation focusing on the coaching process and ICF core competencies of that session. I help you become a better observer of yourself – how you showed up in that coaching session, how you served your client, etc, so that you can expand your coaching for this and other clients.
As your Mentor Coach, I share knowledge and experience that is sometimes difficult for to grasp on your own. Formidable learning comes easier and faster with a mentor guiding the process.
Just think of a time when you spent hours trying to figure out a challenge with your computer or a software application. Then someone came along and –in two seconds– showed you how to solve your dilemma. This is similar to the value of a Mentor Coach except with mentoring the objectives are much larger and the results more fantastic.
Observed coaching can be done in several ways:
Live and immediate. Coach, client, and mentor come together on a bridge-line or Skype conference call. The coaching session occurs, the client signs off, and the Mentor Session debrief follows immediately.
Recording. Coach records a coaching conversation (with the client’s permission), and submits it to your mentor coach for review followed up with a Mentor Coaching session by Skype or phone.
