<description>Hello and thank you for you questions.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your viewpoint), there is not a single recognized NLP or Coach certification that is any more &#039;official&#039; than another. There are hundreds of NLP Certifications, each offered by the various NLP training organizations, worldwide.

I recommend that you look for the length of time they have been teaching NLP certification trainings, for example, Marilou Seavey and I, of MindBridge International NLP Training Institute have all been training NLP and later NLP Coach training for more than 25 years. We have taught throughout the world, not just in one country or area, so our certifications are internationally recognized. This will enable you to refer to yourself as a fully certified ‘NLP – International Professional Certified Coach’ (IPCC). And in addition, you will also receive full NLP Practitioner Certification. You will have the expertise and credibility to market yourself to your existing employer and/or new clients. We have also studied with and conducted trainings with most of the top NLP trainers and innovators in the NLP and Coaching field.

Look at the length of the training— a minimum of 12 days &#039;live&#039; training with additional training and follow-up by audio, DVD, Teleconference, etc. is highly recommended because a 5 or an 8 day course, or trying to learn NLP or Coaching just from books, internet, DVD, etc. without actual live practice with qualified supervision cannot give you the necessary experience to start right out as a qualified coach or NLP practitioner.

Also, having been involved since the early development of NLP and helping to evolve NLP over the years, we are among the most up-to-date NLP/Coach training institutes, with leading edge NLP experience.

The content of many NLP Practitioner trainings may sound similar and some are top quality, especially if they have been in business for more than a quarter of a century. Call, and talk with the actual trainers (not just their assistants or sales office representatives). Look at the course outlines and see if their focus is directed to your specific needs. For example, not all NLP trainings have a focus on NLP Coaching skills, which would require you to take an additional training for coach certification.

www.MindBridgeTrainings.com, for example gives you a comprehensive NLP and Coach training and you receive 2 certifications, NLP Practitioner and also NLP - International Professional Certified Coach (IPCC).

Take the time to search carefully as all trainings are not equal... especially the newer ones (I know of some trainers who simply attended one training, read a few books and then a year later had a web site where they were offering NLP or coach certification trainings... how much experience with coaching or using NLP could they have had in such a short time?

I hope this information has helped to inspire you in your exploration... I guarantee that when you find the right fit and attend the training it will be well worth your time and effort.
